This eight panel room divider has a rich heritage. In ancient China they would use wood and cover the screens with many layers of soft clay and then lacquer. Then the design would be engraved into the dividers for a dimensional effect. This one has been embellished with gold paint. The lovely scene depicts a Chinese village. Solid birch wood construction. Coromandel construction. Hand painted. Fully assembled. 96" high. 140" wide.
