The LZ129 Hindenburg zeppelin was an icon of luxury travel in the 1930's. It boasted many impressive amenities--numerous sleeping quarters, a full dining room, magnificent lounge, even a library. This legendary German-built airship measured over 800 feet in length and weighed approximately 242 tons. Our handmade model is also generously sized at just over 44 inches long, and its detailed engine pods, bridge, windows, and markings are a delight to behold. Its wood frame is covered with stretched taut fabric and contains over 600 glue joints. A breathtaking tribute to aviation history, made for true model connoisseurs. Stretched fabric over wood frame.
